Yellow is Mellow
The bright
Colossal, livid
What? Sun
That causes discomfort
To your eyes so you shun
Yellow is lemons
Squeezed into lemonade
Yellow is canary birds
Yellow is the moon
Rising in the late, late afternoon
Yellow is the movies
Buttery popcorn
That you sworn to stop eating
Yellow is the sweet southern
Corn on the cob
And the famous Bob (the builder)
Yellow is the sunflowers
Standing beautifully
And the yellow yielding traffic light
That stands cautioning
Yellow is the bananas
Gives me my protein
The mustard
To my hotdog and burger
Yellow is the color of…
Sunshine
Happiness
And liveliness
Yellow is the sunset
In which the couple
Watches slowly as it sets
There picnic basket and blanket
It’s so beautiful.
That’s what yellow is…soothing. :)
